Restylane® is a crystalline injectable gel made of hyaluronic acid, a substance that already exists in the body. Restylane® is non-animal based and free of animal proteins. An allergy pre-test is not necessary.

Restylane® is injected into the skin with an ultra fine needle to plump up the skin and smooth away wrinkles and folds such as nose wrinkles at the corners of the mouth (nasolabial folds) or your lips.

The Restylane® effects usually last for six months and gradually disappear from the body. If you are treated again 4 ½ or 9 months after your first treatment, Restylane® can last up to 18 months.

Restylane® has been studied in wrinkles and folds of the face, such as wrinkles from the nose to the corners of the mouth (nasolabial folds) and in the lips. Studies show that the Restylane® effects usually last at least six months and gradually disappear from the body.
