IBSA PROFHILO STRUCTURA

Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a polysaccharide naturally present in the human body, whose main function is to maintain proper tissue hydration thanks to its intrinsic ability to bind a large amount of water. The sodium salt of hyaluronic acid, formed by repeating chains of disaccharide units of N-acetylglucosamine and sodium glucuronate, is an essential component of the extracellular matrix in most tissues, including the skin.

PROFHILO STRUCTURA is composed of a buffered high molecular weight saline solution (H-HA) and low molecular weight hyaluronic acid (L-HA). The high and low molecular weight HA used in the product are obtained by bio-fermentation and have not undergone any chemical modification process, resulting in excellent product tolerance. Furthermore, the different molecular weight HA chains present in PROFHILO STRUCTURA, thanks to a specific and patented solution processing technique (NAHYCO Hybrid Technology), interact with each other, thus giving PROFHILO STRUCTURA its unique rheological properties. These properties allow for the delivery of higher concentrations of HA at the same solution viscosity. The formulation based on HA of varying molecular weights in PROFHILO STRUCTURA relies on the Hydrolift Action system, an innovative approach designed to combat the physiological decrease in HA in the skin, restoring hydration, elasticity, and tone. This system synergistically combines deep hydration with the mechanical lifting action of skin depressions.

INTENDED USE:

PROFHILO STRUCTURA is indicated for adult men and women for the corrective/filling action of natural and induced skin depressions.

PROFHILO STRUCTURA intervenes in the physiological process of reduced skin hydration, alteration of elastic fibers and dermal collagen, and loss of skin turgidity and tone, for example, in cases of excessive dehydration, weight loss, and aging, with a relative loss of endogenous hyaluronic acid (HA). The viscoelastic and hydrating properties of HA, combined with the ability to maintain adequate levels of such HA in skin tissues, allow for tissue rehydration and create optimal conditions to prevent and promote tissue remodeling, with a corrective effect on damage, for example, in skin healing. Intradermal/subcutaneous administration of PROFHILO STRUCTURA thus restores the physiological amount of HA in the treated tissues and provides a skin benefit.

INDICATIONS:

PROFHILO STRUCTURA is indicated for:

• facial treatment and restoration of adipose tissue

• in the process of dermal tissue repair, in cases of acne scars

TARGET POPULATION AND USERS:

PROFHILO STRUCTURA is indicated for adult men and women and must be administered by intradermal/subcutaneous injection only by qualified personnel.

PROFHILO STRUCTURA MUST BE SOLD ONLY WITH A MEDICAL PRESCRIPTION.

COMPOSITION:

PROFHILO STRUCTURA consists of a pre-filled syringe containing 1 or 2 ml of solution, containing:

2 ml 45.00 mg (H-HA) + 45.00 mg (L-HA)

SODIUM CHLORIDE:

1 ml 6.500 mg

SODIUM PHOSPHATE:

1 ml 0.205 mg

2 ml 0.410 mg

WATER FOR INJECTION:

1 ml q.s. 1.0 ml

2 ml q.s. 2.0 ml

DOSAGE:

It is recommended to perform an initial cycle of two treatment sessions at 30-day intervals, followed, if necessary, by maintenance treatments every 4 months. To administer PROFHILO STRUCTURA into subcutaneous tissues, it is recommended to develop a specific protocol based on the patient's age and condition.

AVAILABLE KITS:

PROFHILO STRUCTURA is available in kits containing one pre-filled syringe in the following volumes:

- 1 ml pre-filled syringe (22.5 mg (H-HA) + 22.5 mg (L-HA) of hyaluronic acid sodium salt in 1 ml of sodium chloride buffered saline).

- 2 ml pre-filled syringe (45.0 mg (H-HA) + 45.0 mg (LHA) of hyaluronic acid sodium salt in 2 ml of sodium chloride buffered saline).
